A copy of this Privacy Notice is also available here: https://smarthub.termsnprivacy.com.<br><br>WHAT ARE VIEWING INFORMATION SERVICES?<br>Viewing Information Services is an optional service that you may opt-in to in order to receive content and app recommendations and, where you have separately consented, ads and marketing which are customised to your interests and entertainment preferences on your Device. In order to provide you with Viewing Information Services, Samsung collects, utilises and shares your personal data. If you choose not to opt-in, or you decide to opt-out of Viewing Information Services, the recommendations that you see will not be customised according to your viewing habits. <br><br>WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?<br>To provide you with Viewing Information Services, we may collect the following information from your Device:<br>Information we collect automatically:<br>\u2022\tDevice Information: device attributes, configurations and settings, device identifiers (such as the Personalised Services ID or \u201cPSID\u201d), IP address, and information that identifies your hardware or software and their configuration;<br>\u2022\tDevice Usage and Log Information: diagnostic, technical, error, and usage information, including the dates, time and duration of your use of your Device, applications and hardware connected to your device such as set-top boxes or games consoles.<br>Information we collect using automatic content recognition:<br>\u2022\tDevice Viewing History: information relating to content or ads viewed, purchased, downloaded, or streamed on your Device including through broadcast TV, applications, or hardware connected to your Device such as set-top boxes or games consoles.<br><br>We use automatic content recognition and other technologies to collect information in order to provide you with Viewing Information Services. As for the automatic content recognition, your Device will create unique signatures of Device frames (\u201cSignature\u201d) which are transferred to our matching servers. Samsung does not collect the actual video or content displayed on your Device. We use this Signature to determine whether a known program, video, advertisement or game has been played on your Device. Where there is no match, the Signature will be disregarded.<br><br>HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?<br>With your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)) we use the information described above for the following purposes: <br>\u2022\tproviding you with recommendations of content and applications; <br>\u2022\tdeveloping insights, analytics and market research;<br>\u2022\toperating, evaluating, and improving our services and business (including developing new products and services, detecting and fixing bugs and errors, aggregating and anonymising data, creating models and algorithms through machine learning, forecasting, and performing accounting, auditing and other internal functions); <br>\u2022\twith your separate consent, linking your information to profiles in order to provide you with advertising that is relevant to your interests; and<br>\u2022\twith your separate consent, linking your Samsung Account information for the above purposes.<br><br>HOW TO CHANGE YOUR PREFERENCES<br>Samsung processes personal data for Viewing Information Services on the basis of your consent, which you may provide by selecting \u2018I consent to Viewing Information Services\u2019. You may subsequently withdraw your consent at any time by visiting the Settings menu or Privacy Choices app on the Device, and deselecting \u2018I consent to Viewing Information Services\u2019, in which case your personal data will no longer be processed for purposes outlined above. <br><br>WHO DO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH?<br>We will share certain information within our group companies and to third parties, but only for the purposes described above.
